President

Executive Director

Sable Swimmers would like to welcome Zakia Sykes to our board as President.  Zakia also serves as Executive Director.  She is a Philadelphia native, mom of 4, and the owner of Sykes Accounting Services.  She is also a YSLI Certified Swim Instructor, a USA Swimming Coach Member, and a US Masters Swimming Level 1 Coach; her goal in life is making sure the percentages of black folks that can swim is equal to everyone else.  Zakia currently also works as an accountant at a non-profit serving individuals with intellectual disabilities.  She is a graduate of the Philadelphia High School for Girls (243), and holds a Bachelors Degree in Accounting from Drexel University.

Secretary

Sable Swimmers would like to welcome Andrea Barnes to our board as Secretary.  Andrea is a mom of 2, proud Philadelphian, and educator.  She works with people from all walks of life on their fitness goals with her company, Butta-Fly Fitness.  She has been a Philadelphia Public School educator for over 10 years, and is the 9th Grade Chair at Vaux Big Picture High School.  Andrea is a graduate of Bartram High School, holds a Bachelors Degree from Temple University and a Masters Degree in Education from Lincoln University.
